I prefer this to your clifftop photo, as there is less going on, my eye is instantly drawn to the lichen but I am not too sure about the rest of the composition. It is probably just because it's a bit unusual?
This is an unusual shot really, as normally you'd expect to see the landscape below to be sharp and the foliage in the foreground to be blurred out. I quite like it though.
